What is the USA Freedom Act of 2015?
The USA Freedom Act of 2015 is a U.S. federal law enacted in 2015 which prohibits the use of pen register and trap and trace orders for bulk collection of telephone numbers under Section 215 of the USA PATRIOT Act, and restricts use of such orders to cases involving specific selectors such as a specific telephone number or email address.
